Because the bag is crocheted in the round from bottom to top, you won't have any loose ends. The color you're not using is left hanging and picked up again in the next row. No parts need to be crocheted together, as the handles are also crocheted onto the bag at the end. After crocheting the last stitch, you only need to weave in four ends.
